The Base foundation is made for all skin types including sensitive skin. If you have very dry skin it is very important that you moisturize your skin before applying The Base foundation. Products we have found to work very well underneath The Base foundation are for ex Dermalogica’s “Active Moist” moisturizer. It is important that the moisturizer you use does not contain any oil, since The Base foundation is oil-soluble.
If you have very dry skin it is important that you moisturize your skin properly before applying The Base foundation. Products we have found to work very well underneath The Base foundation are for ex Dermalogica’s “Active Moist” moisturizer. It is important that the moisturizer you use does not contain any oil, since The Base foundation is oil-soluble. You can also mix The Base foundation with your moisturizer, that usually helps if you have dry skin (or if you just want a little bit lighter coverage).
Yes you can, The Base foundation usually works very well on oily skin and creates a matte finish that will last the whole day. We have several customers today who come to us and say that they used to have problems finding a foundation that would last on their oily skin but that this foundation is the first one they have tried that actually lasts the whole day.
First, shake the bottle well before use. Use a 1-2 pumps of The Base foundation, most people tend to take too much product the first time, you need a lot less than you think. Use a damp makeup sponge or your fingers to really work it into your skin. Work fast, it sets quickly and once it has dried it will stay put. You can watch one of our tutorials to see the application guide we recommend!
The Base foundation feels moist on your skin and that is the property that prevents it from cracking during the day and makes it last up to 72 hours. However – it is not supposed to feel sticky. If it feels sticky, it is probably because you used to much. So please try with using a smaller amount of foundation. If you do not like the moist feeling you can add some powder or take a paper cloth and gently press it onto your skin, then the foundation won’t feel as moist anymore.
The Base foundation is easily removed with the customized The Makeup Remover. The Makeup Remover is made out of coconut, jojoba and olive oil. You can however also remove The Base foundation with a makeup remover that works on waterproof makeup, but it won’t be as efficient as the customized makeup remover.
The Base foundation has a matte finish. For a more glowy finish you can mix some glow drops with The Base foundation upon application, or you can apply your glow products after you have applied The Base foundation. Since The Base foundation has a moist finish, all makeup you apply on top of it will stay right where you apply it.
Yes, you can! The Base foundation is tested on all skin types including sensitive skin. The long lasting effect enables a touchup free makeup. The Base is also talc-free, so your skin will breath. The Makeup Remover is oil-based and not suited for acneprone skin.
The Base foundation has buildable coverage. For light coverage: mix a small amount of The Base with your moisturiser. For medium coverage: use one layer of The Base. For high coverage: apply two layers - the first layer should be worked into the skin with a wet sponge or your fingers and the second layer should be gently dabbed onto the skin to not remove the first layer. See the application tutorial above on how to create medium coverage!
